My Travel Expenses.

Many of you have constantly asked me “How do I afford to travel so much?". I feel that I can now answer this question, when I started out travelling I knew that I had to start managing my money properly. As to when it came to money I always thought to first what have I always wanted to do in life. And my thoughts always resolved around travelling.

From a young age, I was taught by both parents how to save towards things that I always dreamed off. And travelling the world happened to be of them. My mother always said to me "The world is your oyster". From these words I just knew that I would have to work hard towards my achievements. This quote also encourages me about the decisions that I would be making.

I didn't have savings as a kid that I would get my hands on when I was 18. I wish I did, but that never stopped me from arranging my own savings. From the age of 16 I have constantly worked throughout every job as hard as I could. I have worked along multiple industries, through childcare, retail, hospitality you name it. When I turned 18, I just knew that one job wasn't going to be enough anymore so I decided to work two jobs. I have always had that mentality that more than one source of income is better than just one.

I've kept it going for so long and honestly still shocked into how I have managed two jobs and my education. I realized once you are determined on achieving something then nothing can get in your way. I am now 21 studying at University (Tourism Management) and working 2 part time jobs plus with an agency. Now you can imagine, there is absolutely no time for a social life.

This is absolutely hard because I enjoy nights out with the girls and having constant laughter. But I have realized in order to reach your dreams; some sacrifices have to be made.

Any dream of mine I have learnt to speak it into existence. Because it will happen, it may take time but it’s all about believing in yourself and having others believing in you too. I want to make travelling the dream, I always have. I have never aimed in wanting to do anything else besides travelling.

My mother’s words of encouragement have always pushed me to thrive towards making them happen. "In all that you have experienced I trust your foundations will be strong, resilient and permanent throughout the years ahead". Words from my own mother, she has never failed to encourage me, help me when needed or support me with my decisions. A woman with such an open heart has done the most she can always to watch me seek my dreams ahead of me.

When it comes to travelling, I always plan ahead with arranging flights and hotels. I also aim to get the most reasonable prices with use of discounts. My travelling expenditures have always been affordable therefore, that is why I always keep choosing to travel. This year I have decided to try and travel to new destinations. My whole aim is to learn and develop new cultures and understand the way of life through other individuals.

Summer is just around the corner, so be ready because the holidays this year are going to be epic.
