Getting to know me personally.

My decision of choosing to create a blog opened up a new door for myself but also this decision was made to help me with my career within the tourism industry. I have always wished of having a blog, but then always asked myself what would I write about?. I am not the type of person to allow people to get to know me personally, due to past experiences . Because of this I've become very observant, I now feel that it's something that I constantly do.

Personally when meeting new people, I often get that I seem approachable and other cases not. I suppose I am a person with character, I have always been noticed as the loudest one out of my bunch of friends or the one with much more confidence when it comes to trying new things.

I know if I didn't make the decision to fly out to America by myself to work at a summer camp, I wouldn't be the person that I am today. I made that decision not only to gain experience but to boost my confidence when socialising. As I realised being observant was stopping me from actually getting to know people because I was holding back. Gaining all this confidence, made me love myself more and accept the changes and lessons that join me along the path to success.

I recently accepted a position working at Hilton hotel, this is a new chapter that I'm ready to experience. As previously I was working in retail and if I am honest I was getting tired and bored, so decided to make a change. I've worked in retail for as long as I could remember, this is why I wanted to change. But also I want to be able to gain more knowledge when it comes to working within hospitality. I think this new path will allow me to gain new skills for when I look to work abroad.

This year I will be working abroad again for my third summer, I'm so thankful that yet again I can go and explore and do what I do best. Being offered this opportunity once again I have learnt to create new challenges for myself, and make a plan into what I want to do next. As my mother once told me, "The world is your oyster, so go out there and conquer your dreams". My mother has always motivated me in every choice I've made, her wise words of encouragement means more to me than anyone could image. She pushes me to seek new opportunities and to constantly remind myself of my goals, plans and aspirations and to make sure that I am inspired by them.

Check out my recent post about Camp America and things to do to be apart of a life time experience.

With Love
